This will include a thorough oral exam, X-rays, and sometimes 3D imaging to assess your bone and gum structure. Dr. Glover will discuss your concerns, goals and treatment options with you and develop a personalized treatment plan.
Cosmetic procedures vary from 30 minutes to several hours and can usually be performed under local anesthesia, although some procedures may require sedation. Some more complex procedures can involve a number of stages of treatment over the course of several months.

TREATMENT: Gum grafting
TIMELINE: Procedure takes 1-2 hours; recovery within 1-2 weeks; final stabilization in several months
Gummy Smile
TREATMENT: Crown lengthening
TIMELINE: Surgery takes about an hour; full healing can take 1-2 weeks; complete tissue recovery in about 2-3 months
Missing Teeth
TREATMENT: Dental implants
TIMELINE: This process can take several months. Once the implant is in place it takes 3-6 months for the bone to integrate with the implant. Then, crown is placed.

TIMELINE: This is a relatively quick procedure, often completed in under an hour. Recovery time is usually 1-2 weeks.

TIMELINE: Bone grafting can take about 1-2 hours. The healing process can take several months, especially if the graft is being done in preparation for a dental implant.
