DENTAL IMPLANTS
A great smile is a terrible thing to lose
Missing a tooth or a few teeth?
Anyone missing a tooth or a few teeth knows the reluctance to flash that quick smile you’re known for. But even worse, losing a tooth, whether through injury, decay, or age, can impact more than just your smile. Missing teeth can affect your ability to chew properly, speak clearly, and gaps in your teeth can even cause further oral health problems.
If you’ve had a missing tooth for a while you may have noticed teeth around the space beginning to shift. There can be misalignment, bite issues, and even jaw pain. Without a tooth root to stimulate the bone, the jawbone in the area can begin to deteriorate, leading to a sunken facial appearance over time.
Whether you’ve gone years with missing teeth, or the situation is recent, your first step is to see a schedule an appointment with Dr. Glover, a specialist in dental implants who can help assess your situation, determine the cause of the tooth loss, and outline next steps. Don’t miss another chance to smile.
What is an implant?
How do I know if this solution is for me?
A dental implant is essentially an artificial tooth root that is surgically placed into your jawbone. A titanium post fuses with the bone over time and provides a stable base for a replacement tooth to be attached.
The beauty of an implant is with time you may even forget you have an implant. Once the replacement tooth, the ‘crown’, is attached, the result is a tooth that not only looks like a natural tooth but also offers similar functionality and durability.

A great solution
If only a single tooth is missing, an implant can be put in place without affecting the surrounding teeth. Unlike a traditional bridge that requires additional teeth be filed down for support, an implant stands alone and maintains the integrity of your natural teeth.

What if I have more than one missing tooth?
Replacing multiple teeth
If several teeth in a row are missing, implants can support a bridge. This makes it unnecessary to place an implant for every single missing tooth. This solution provides stability without compromising the health of your adjacent teeth. It also prevents bone loss in the areas where teeth are missing.
If all or most of your teeth are missing, dental implants can be used to anchor full dentures or bridges, providing a more secure and permanent alternative to traditional or removable dentures. This option allows you to regain full functionality of your mouth, improving your ability to eat, speak, and confidently smile.

More than just a better smile
Dental implants not only give you a better smile but they also help maintain the health of your gums and bone structure. Implants prevent further bone deterioration and help preserve the natural shape of your face.
Implants are a proven solution offering a permanent fix for the problems caused by missing teeth. Whether you’re replacing a single tooth or restoring a full smile, implants provide a natural look and feel and improve your oral health. See what Revive can do for you!
How long do implants take?
Dental implants take a few months but last a lifetime

Revive conducts a thorough evaluation, including x-rays, to be sure your jawbone is strong enough to support the implant. A bone graft could be necessary before the implant can be placed

The surgical implant is the next step. Once the titanium post is placed into the jawbone, a healing period is needed for the post to fuse

Once the implant is healed, an abutment is attached and a custom-made crown is secured to completed the restoration
